देहरादून। महिला सशक्तिकरण एवं बाल विकास मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने कहा कि बालिका निकेतन की बच्चियों अपनी मेधा के बल पर समाज में महिला सशक्तिकरण का जीवंत प्रतीक बन रही है। इस अवसर पर मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने नारी निकेतन और बालिका निकेतन में दो नवनिर्मित हॉल का लोकार्पण भी किया।
राजकीय महिला कल्याण एंव पुनर्वास केन्द्र मानसिक/सामान्य केदारपुरम में 164 अनाथ, परित्यक्त, निराश्रित महिलाएं रह रही है। बुधवार को महिला सशक्तिकरण एंव बाल विकास मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने यहां द्वितीय तल पर हॉल एंव अन्य निर्माण कार्य (लागत रू. 57.09 लाख) का लोकार्पण किया।
इसके साथ ही कैबिनेट मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने राजकीय बालिका निकेतन केदारपुरम के प्रथम तल पर हॉल एंव अन्य निर्माण कार्य (लागत रू.65.52 लाख) का लोकार्पण भी किया।
इस अवसर पर कैबिनेट मंत्री ने कहा कि जिस तरह बीते तीन-चार साल में बालिका निकेतन की लड़कियों ने स्कूल और कॉलेज में शानदार प्रदर्शन किया है, वह उनकी दृढ मानसिकता और संघर्षशीलता को दर्शाता है। मंत्री ने कहा कि कई लड़कियां सरकारी सेवा में सफल हुई है और कई अन्य पीसीएस जैसी प्रवेश परीक्षाओं की तैयारी में जुटी है।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री वात्सल्य योजना एंव स्पॉन्सरशिप योजना से लाभान्वित बच्चों एंव उनके परिजनों से बातचीत कर मंत्री ने बच्चों की प्रगति की जानकारी ली।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य परिवीक्षा अधिकारी मोहित चौधरी, परियोजना प्रबन्धक राकेश चन्द्र तिवारी, सहायक अभियन्ता प्रमोद चन्द कोठियाल, उप मुख्य परिवीक्षा अधिकारी अंजना गुप्ता, राजीव नयन एंव जिला प्रोबेशन अधिकारी मीना बिष्ट आदि उपस्थित रहे।
