Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to expedite the disposal of cases of forest land transfer pending in the state for roads and other development works. The Chief Minister has also directed the officers of the Forest Department to prepare an effective strategy to reduce human-wildlife conflict in the state.
On Monday, officers of the Indian Forest Service under the leadership of Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Rajiv Bharati met Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister expected the officers of the Forest Department not to make unnecessary delays in the transfer of forest land. He said that due to delay in the cases of transfer of forest land, there is unnecessary delay in completion of development works.
A number of table books based on Corbett National Park were also presented by the Association to the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Swami Yatheeswaranand, newly appointed Chief Secretary Shri SS Sandhu, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate along with high officials of Forest Department were present.
