The bridge between Rishikesh to Srinagar beyond Kaushayala-Vyasghat motorway beyond Vyaschatti will now be built at Singhatali, a place previously selected.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said that the public had been raising demands for the construction of this bridge for the past several years, the way of which has now been cleared. He said that this bridge will be built at the former place on the demand of the public. The Chief Minister informed that the DPR and budget of the bridge is ready. He has instructed the officials to start construction of this bridge at the earliest. He informed that the construction of this bridge will not only benefit the people of Tehri, Pauri districts but it will also reduce the distance between the two divisions of the state, Garhwal and Kumaon. He informed that this bridge will be constructed between Rishikesh and Srinagar from Vyaschatti to Singhatali village. This route will also connect Kumaon via Singhtali, Vyaschatti, Satpuli, Siddhakal, Rikhanikhal, Nainidanda, Ramnagar.

It is worth mentioning that this bridge is to be constructed over the river Ganga in Singthali of Narendranagar block in Tehri district and Dhanugarh in Yamkeshwar block of Pauri district.
